sustainability and new literature review

"One thing to keep in mind though is that by including the term sustainability in your research question, this has consequences for your literature review in particular. Not only will you now have to discuss the concept of sustainability (it's different dimensions and the ones you find important for your research project), you will also have to focus the rest of the literature review around the debate of the relation between short-term-event and longer-term-impact."

This is what Bas stated in his email which you all got today. This poses new challenges for the literature review. I was about revising it, but without considering the points of Bas so far. This would probably mean further research and I won't be able to do so anymore. Also, this is an issue which concerns all of us. Keep this in mind when you'll get the newest literature review tonight.

Maybe we can convince Bas that we want to avoid this by only using an operational definition of sustainability? Should reply to him with this in mind?
