Operational Definition Sustainability

Post  Jakob on Sat Mar 20, 2010 7:19 am

It seems we need one so to avoid a long philosophy of science debate, lets just use an operational one. How about this:

  • The ECOC project is stustainable if, after the year is over, the
    projects still exist,
    the funding is still secure,
and the actors involved still are (Mettler says this is vital).

This is more or less taken from Mettler, so I could cite him. Anyways, finding an author who says something this general wont be a problem ;-) Can everyone fit his/her needed definition into this frame? I need to define this in the Introduction for everyone but I think with a bit of imagination, we all can use this as a framework.
